DMCA Policy
Last updated: September 17, 2026
Our Position
Posiro publishes original fan-created animations and related pages. We respect copyright and expect everyone who uses the Service to do the same. This policy describes how we handle notices of claimed infringement under the United States Digital Millennium Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. §512 (the "DMCA"), and how a person who believes their material was removed by mistake may file a counter-notification.
We respond promptly to complete notices. When we receive a valid notification, we will remove or disable access to the material that is claimed to be infringing, and we will take reasonable steps to notify the person who posted it, if we have a working contact.
Designated Agent
Notices of claimed copyright infringement should be sent to our designated agent by email:
- Email: hello@posiro.com
- Subject line: DMCA Notice
Using that subject line helps us route your message quickly. You may also include a telephone number so we can reach you if something in the notice is unclear. We may not process notices sent through other channels because we cannot reliably authenticate them.
Filing a Notification
To be effective under 17 U.S.C. §512(c)(3), a notification of claimed infringement must be a written communication that includes substantially all of the following elements. Please number your notice to match this list:
- A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the copyright that is allegedly infringed. A typed full name at the end of the email is acceptable as an electronic signature if you intend it as such.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or a representative list of such works if multiple works at a single site are covered. Please include a title, a registration number if you have one, or a clear description.
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate it, including the exact URL of each allegedly infringing page or file on posiro.com.
- Information reasonably sufficient to permit us to contact you, including an email address, and if available a telephone number and mailing address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the copyright that is allegedly infringed.
- A statement of your authority to act, if you are an agent rather than the copyright owner, including the name of the owner and your relationship to that owner.
We cannot act on a notice that omits the URL, lacks a good-faith statement, or is not sent under penalty of perjury.
Our Response
After we receive a complete notification, we will remove or disable access to the identified material within a reasonable time and take reasonable steps to notify the uploader, using the contact information we have (if any). Removal is a response to a statutory notice. It is not an admission that infringement occurred.
Counter-Notification
If you believe material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notification to hello@posiro.com with the subject line "DMCA Counter-Notification". Under 17 U.S.C. §512(g), a counter-notification must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that was removed or to which access was disabled, and the location at which the material appeared before it was removed (the original URL).
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located, or if your address is outside the United States, for any judicial district in which Posiro may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original notification or an agent of that person.
Upon receipt of a valid counter-notification, we will provide a copy to the original complainant. Unless the complainant files an action seeking a court order relating to the material, we may restore the material after 10 business days, at our discretion and in line with the statute.
Repeat Infringers
It is our policy to terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the access of repeat infringers. Because the public website does not use accounts, access may mean blocking an address, ending a collaboration, removing a series, or refusing future submissions, at our discretion.
Misrepresentation Warning
Under 17 U.S.C. §512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material or activity is infringing, or that material or activity was removed or disabled by mistake, is liable for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees, incurred by the alleged infringer, by any copyright owner or authorized licensee, or by a service provider, who is injured by such misrepresentation as a result of the service provider relying upon it. Do not send a notice or a counter-notification unless you have a good-faith, truthful basis for every statement in it.
